Hurricane Preparedness

One of the most challenging things about living in South Florida, is preparing for hurricane season. We ensure that your loved one has the proper supportive care, food, medications and supplies to stay safe during a storm. Often, if possible, family members will either stay with a loved one or take their family member to their home when possible. If this is not possible due to many variables, we at Senior Care Planning work hand in hand with family members to ensure safety during a storm.

Travel Assistance

Senior Care Planning staff have accompanied many clients on flights when visiting loved ones or when transitioning to another state. We will either personally accompany the client or assist in coordinating supportive staff to travel. We coordinate closely with the medical team to make certain that the individual is safe to travel on a commercial airline. If commercial flights are not suitable, we will coordinate with one of the local Air Ambulance professionals to ensure a safe flight. We assist with all aspects of the transition.

Medical and Professional Referrals

The staff at Senior Care Planning has strong relationships with medical professionals in the community. Whether it be Palm Beach, Broward or Miami-Dade counties, we have the ability to make appropriate referrals. General practice physicians and specialists are amongst some of the referrals made to support the client and family. This also includes, but is not limited to Home Health Care companies, nursing assistants, companions, transportation companies and move managers to assist in transitioning to alternate housing.
